Portland Metro Composite

Mountain Bike Team

More Than a Team—
we’re A Community Of Riders Focused on Having fun on bikes.

The Portland Metro Composite Mountain Bike Team partners with NICA and the Oregon Interscholastic Cycling League to provide middle and high school students-from the Portland Metropolitan area-the opportunity to develop their physical, mental and emotional well being as participants in the sport of mountain biking.

We participate in optional races throughout Oregon, competing against other NICA teams from across our region.  We teach fundamental mountain bike skills through advanced riding techniques. We highlight community, inclusivity and positive coaching for all riders and coaches!

Our season kick’s off in July and ends in October, with the state finals.  We practice weekly and lead weekend adventure rides at some of the coolest trails systems in our part of the state!

If you would like to learn more about our team, and possibly join us for the 2026 season, email us though the contact form for more information.

Practice with PMC

Check out this great BikePortland feature highlighting how PMC, the Oregon League, and NICA use community trails and bike spaces across the city to help grow confident, capable kids—one ride at a time. Hear directly from our riders and Team Director, Duncan Parks, as they share why strong bike infrastructure is so essential to building a healthy, connected cycling community.
